Thomas Mohnike

Prof. Thomas Mohnike (Université de Strasbourg) has a research focus in Scandinavian studies of the 19th and 20th centuries. His research focuses on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He is particularly concerned with the history of Nordic studies as a sub-history of comparative philology as well as reception of Nordic myths in France and Germany. He is currently working on a collaboratively created database of scholars in the history of Nordic Studies, which has been made available online as a map with search functions under the title "Mediators of the North" and will be exploited and expanded by participants as part of the project.
